What does OPR Designer deliver?
ABB’s OPR designer software has been developed to simplify lightning protection system design (especially for ESE solutions).
This software is ideal for consultants and contractors working in the field of lightning protection, as it has been designed to deliver the optimal, flexible solution for ESE lightning protection in the shortest time possible.
The solution delivered determines the type and location of air terminals on a structure, as well as provides a detailed list of the installation accessories, fixings and earthing components needed. Implementation of a lightning protection system including free-standing pylons on site is also feasible.
Bills of quantity related to each lightning protection system design are accessible at any time in the software, and can also be exported to Excel file. Product packing details are also included.
Additionally, the software permits the generation of a complete design and bill of quantity in PDF format considering the entirety of the project, including:
- Air terminal positioning on the imported plan with defined protection radius (a plan may be imported from a picture, PDF, Autocad file or even a Google earth view);
- Comprehensive and detailed list of materials;
- Catalog pages for products used in the lightning protection system design;
- Test certificates for the ESE air terminals
